What the…?

Welcome, this is Mr Bish’s blog, and I’m Mr Bish.

I’m primarily a musician. Over the course of deciding on and learning the skills to validate the last sentence, I tried my hand at writing, making pictures, making videos and making little models out of blutack (a doomed enterprise since they always got squished in the post). I still do those things now and again, when I’m feeling a bit tired of music.

To date, I’ve made enough tunes for six CDs, and uncounted hours more material that either isn’t really finished or wouldn’t fit on or with the other stuff that went on the CDs. Generally, I just made the CDs for friends, sent a copy or two out to labels, and put the music up online for free. I have to admit, a naive and incredibly optimistic part of me kinda hoped that would be enough and without doing very much I’d quickly establish a massive fanbase and have record companies filling my inbox with invitations to winings and dinings.

As it turns out, it’s not all that easy, so I’m now making a concerted effort to whore myself online. As such, I’m now whoring myself on a lot of sites, so it makes sense to also have my own little site to link them all together and hopefully keep better track of how I’m doing. Despite these rather cynical aims, there’s no real focus to this blog – it’s just going to be a general blog by me, but with a little online store attached, should you wish to pay me the ultimate compliment and part with money for my music.
