I think this arrangement works, although in the final version the acoustic guitars will probably be replaced by electrics, the rhythm section will be a bit more embellished and groovy, and I’ll probably add some synthesizers and swap an upright piano for the squashed grand piano noise. It ought to give you the general idea though, and that’s the point of first demos. Oh and there will be singing. Oh yes. Singing.

In seven long years, I still haven’t thought of a decent name for this. I might go with “I Can Think What You’re Telling”, but better suggestions are welcome – for the record, it’s about the feeling of being with someone you love in the rain at night and not minding or even really noticing that it’s cold, dark and wet, and half-expecting everything to fade to black like a happy ending in an arty weepy romantic film.
